We give tours that are for people who really, really like wine.

For people who not only want to try wines, but to see where the grapes are grown, to see where they are crushed, to see it fermenting; to talk to the people who do all these things; to speak to the winemakers in their environment, surrounded by the sights and smells that make up the mystique of the wine industry. (Subject to time of season)

Enjoy a hosted tour of some of the best "little" wineries in McLaren Vale

Tours are available for groups or individuals and can be adapted to suit your taste.  A standard full day tour will visit four cellar door wineries and include pick up and drop off in Adelaide city, Glenelg or Victor Harbor.

Prices vary depending on the size of your group and the length of the tour.

Chook’s Little Winery Tours is a small family company and your hosts will be either Chook or Kerry (Mrs Chook), local McLaren Vale personalities and wine lovers.

Chook has raised over $200,000 over the years for Variety (The Children’s Charity) both NSW, SA and NZ.
Kerry (Mrs Chook) played cricket for Australia a few years ago.

Best winery tour, EVER!

We were lucky enough to spend the day touring McLaren Vale with Kerry (and got to meet Mr. Chook as well!) and I can't begin to express just how fabulous it was. You can see how loved the Chooks are by the local wineries, and as a result, their guests are treated with the utmost care. Kerry also took our box of wine to be shipped home to us in Melbourne (at no additional cost other than the shipping fee). Of all the winery tours we've done anywhere in the world, this was extra special. Thank you Kerry!!!!

Best Wine Tour

From the moment Chook jumped out of the van to greet us we knew we were in good hands and what a fantastic day we had. He selected a great variety of vineyards and winemakers with diverse personalities which made it all the more interesting. The travel time seemed to go quickly with Chook entertaining us with lively and animated stories of his background and local history. If we get back to Adelaide, Chook will be the first on our calling list.

The most relaxing wine tour in McLaren Vale

This tour went above and beyond my expectations. The initial booking of the tour is easy and efficient. Just complete the online form on their website and Chook will contact you with the booking details. The team develop a personalised itinerary and keep it relatively secret until the day of your tour. Chook’s delightful wife was our tour guide and drove us through the countryside in a roomy air conditioned van. There was only four of us on the tour and the other couple were lovely.
